Your rights under the Funeral Rule. The Federal Trade Commission's Funeral Rule gives every family the right to an itemized General Price List from any funeral home — in person, and prices by telephone — and the right to buy only the goods and services you choose, apart from anything the law itself requires. You may supply your own casket, and the funeral home may not refuse it or charge you to use it.
